Humans of Christchurch bring the Red Chair Chats to us at Eastgate

Humans of Christchurch Ōtautahi bring you Red Chair Chats as part of the Christchurch Heritage Festival 2022.
Join us in the red chair for a chat at your place.  

EASTGATE SHOPPING CENTRE Saturday 8th October 2.00pm until 4.00pm

Our team of photographers and storytellers will be bringing their lounge and their listening skills to four iconic Christchurch locations. Sit down in our red chair and share your story or just have a conversation.

Explore the mini-exhibit of a selection of stories gathered by the Humans team over the last five years.
Humans of Christchurch is a group of photographers and storytellers in Christchurch honestly sharing the stories of our people in our community. 

We plan to take our mahi on the road, to four key iconic places people love in our city, and capture stories from those using those spaces. Our other sites are Lyttelton Farmers Market, Cathedral Square and Margaret Mahy Playground.

NANOGIRL INDOOR BUBBLES

Monday 3rd, Wednesday 5th & Friday 7th October

Be wowed with giant bubbles you can stand in, cloud-filled bubbles, a long bubble snake and much more! This 45 minute stage performance provides an edu-tainment experience for a seated audience and is followed by 15 minutes of interactive bubble fun where audience members can choose to step inside a giant bubble!!

Food Drive for the Christchurch Community

The pantry at The Loft at Eastgate is looking a little bare. COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the mahi they do with the heightened demand for help still here.

Can you help us with any donations of non perishable food items, toiletries and nappies and wipes for babies.

You can drop them into The Loft upstairs level one or to the management office at the top of the stairs or to Unichem.

Suggestions for you

Toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, moisturizer, shampoo, conditioner, feminine care products, even a make up item would be lovely, a brush, hair ties.

Rice, pasta, pasta sauces, canned soups, canned tuna, salmon, chicken, canned vegetables, spaghetti, baked beans, tea bags or coffee long life milks, pancake mixes, cereals, canned fruit. Even maybe a treat or two. Tear top cans are best if that’s possible.
